Magistrate Court Fees

Please note that the sheriff's office serves at the address provided by the person filing the claim. If the address is incorrect, a new service fee is required. 

All fees must be paid in cash, money order, or cashier's check. We are not able to provide change to citizens and request that when paying with cash, please bring the exact amount. 

Civil

•    Abandoned Motor Vehicle: $46.00

•    Abandoned Mobile Home: $62.00 (plus $6.50 for certified mail if required)

•    Certified Copies: $14.00

•    Copies: $1 Each Page

•    Dispossessory: $107 (1) Defendant, $157 (2) Defendants and $50 Each Additional Defendant.

•    Fifa: $29 ($4 Check Payable to Magistrate Court and $25 Check Payable to the Clerk of Superior Court)

•    Foreclosure on Personal Property: $107.00 {1) Defendant, $157 (2) Defendants and $50 Each Additional Defendant.

•    Garnishments: $112.00

•    Interrogatories: $10 + $50 service fee (we no longer send them certified mail, all will be personally served by the Sheriff’s Office)

•    Notary Public Fee of $4.00 Per Seal

•    Reservice: $50

•    Statement of Claims: $107 (1) Defendant, $157 (2) Defendants and $50 Each Additional Defendant.

•    Subpoenas: $5 (Civil and Criminal)
